RLab offers a range of educational programs for professionals who want to take advantage of growing opportunities in VR, AR and related technologies. Our educational programs include:

Master Classes for professionals who want to level up technical skills.

Executive Education programs for executives who want to lead innovation projects.

Classes take place at RLab and at academic partner institutions around New York City. Instructors include industry-leading practitioners, subject matter experts, and faculty from RLab’s university consortium – led by NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and including Columbia University, The New School and CUNY.

Master Classes help developers, creatives and technicians advance their careers, build their professional networks, and expand their practice. Master Classes will focus on a range of skills and topics, and participants will walk away with proficiency on the subject matter, hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and techniques, and a jump start on a specific project.

Bring a basic proficiency of Unity or Unreal to this 3-day master class, and leave with a handle on where the other platform shines and how to implement it into your development pipeline.

UX Design for Future Interfaces
This 2-day master class will give creatives, digital artists, developers and storytellers the tools and techniques to design user experiences in virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed realities.

Shaders in Unity
This 1-day master class covers the basics of writing a shader program, with a deep dive into using the power of the GPU to solve mathematics tasks as you write your own particle system from scratch.

Explore innovations and opportunities for immersive tech in healthcare and learn how to apply your skillset as a game or interactive developer to work in this field in this 2-day master class.

This course will bring industry leaders and innovators from diverse backgrounds in the healthcare industry together to share knowledge and applications for immersive technology in healthcare. The 3-day workshop includes business use cases, lectures, demos, and practical training to help executives move forward in this field.
